How do I clean my half mask?

How to maintain your half-mask for a longer more sustainable lifespan.

Maintaining Your Force 8® Half Mask

The Force®8 half-mask was designed with sustainability and long-term usability in mind. It is fully maintainable by the user, meaning you can take care of it yourself and extend its life.

A helpful video guide is available to show you how to disassemble the mask into its individual parts.

Ensure you remove the filters first.

Each FORCE 8 component can be washed in mild hand warm soapy water, rinsed and left to dry naturally. Once the associated parts are completely dry reassemble the mask and conduct a Fit Check.

The purpose of the Fit Check establishes fit, form and functionality of the respirator when fitted correctly and sealed to the face, the wearer will be able to confirm product confidence.  Every time you wear the respirator a Fit Check is to be carried out to identify any leakage of the face seal.

By regularly cleaning and maintaining your mask in this way the expected working life can be achieved. This not only helps reduce waste but also saves you money compared to constantly replacing disposable masks.
