A combination filter is designed to protect against multiple hazardous substances by incorporating more than one type of standard gas or particulate filter into a single unit. Each type of protection is identified by a different colour band on the filter, indicating the specific substance it defends against.
JSP’s most commonly used combination filter is the ABEK1P3 PressToCheck™ filter, which includes the following colour bands:
- Brown (A): Organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C
- Grey (B): Inorganic gases and vapours (excluding carbon monoxide)
- Yellow (E): Acid gases and vapours
- Green (K): Ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives
- White (P3): Solid and liquid particulates (dusts, mists, and fumes)
This combination of filters provides a high level of protection in environments where multiple airborne hazards are present, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
JSP can supply the correct combination filter to suit the specific hazards present in your workplace.
